Home & Garden
Aside from the Bernese Mountain Dogs in our lives, Mike and I sincerely enjoy gardening! It is more of a passion. There is a great challenge of successful gardening at 7500 feet above sea level! Some years fare better than others. We spend many hours with the vegetables and the on the hillside with the perennial flower rock garden.
It is so relaxing to be out working in the garden, listening to a baseball game and let the dogs sleep under the trees.
At harvest time, the dogs are great helpers. They enjoy eating the peas right out of the bowl and will eat the beans off the plants while we are not looking. Our lovely Rita will steal the berries out of the bowl while I am still picking! Even though we produce three varieties of raspberries and two varieties of strawberries…..seldom do many berries make it all the way up to the house.
And then there are the pelicans…… Christine LOVES pelicans!
